This new project requires >90% efficiency gear reducer or we will not meet customer requirements. Here are some more details:

Application is closing/opening doors on portable transportation equipment. Power consumption is important. Closing the door is the hard part. Needs to generate 50ftlb of torque and then 250ftlb of torque for 1 second to make sure door is tightly closed. We will provide all controller functions.

Must produce 50ftlb with 12VDC @ 20A

Thus, required DC motor speed is 3750rpm (25 x 150)
Required torque @ 25rpm is 600inlb for 1 minute (output of gear reducer)

Required torque @ stall torque is 3000 inlb (12VDC @ 100A) for 1 second

Gear Reducer is estimated at 150:1 at >90% (We do not care if it is helical or planetary or cycloidal or hypoid or parallel offset, but just meet requirements).

We do not care if the reducer is in-line or right angle, We do not care if reducer is planetary, helical, parallel in-line, hypoid or other style gear reducer. Only needs to meet efficiency and weight requirements. We would prefer an aluminum housing for environmental concerns.
