    江苏江威齿轮箱制造有限公司（起源于常州市江威减速机制造有限公司）始建于二OO二年十月十一日，是一家致力于技术、设计、开发、生产、机电化经营一体的综合性企业，公司注重人才、技术、管理的新理念，重视对企业的内在素质和企业管理水平的提高，先后进行了企业的员工培训与学习。2004年在全国同行业率先通过了ISO9001质量体系认证，获国家一级计量合格单位，同年在国家工商总局也注册了中国•江威品牌，三个商标①国内商标权；②国内汉字商标权；③出口商标权等

  随着业务的发展，在2006年新建立了江苏江威齿轮箱有限公司，2006年7月公司在常州市附近，江阴市璜土开发区征用了50亩土地，3.33万平方米，已建设完工投入使用的厂房6598平方米，在建工程16000平方米厂房，2007年9月全部建设完工，公司拥有固定资产1.26亿元人民币，在职员工500人，各类专业技术人员120人，拥有各类设备500台，其中世界先进的德国产磨齿机10台，韩国产加工中心7台，日本产先进的复合式加工中心6台，其它数控设备10台，国产大型滚齿机3台，数控机床2台，普通机床12台，大型镗、铣床3台，及一批普通设备等等，在国内同行中，是一家拥有设备、技术、产品等的中型企业。公司产品为塑料、橡胶、矿山、煤矿、起重、冶金、钢铁、塑胶、港口、水利、油田等等相配套，也可根据用户的要求，设计非标减速机。

2007年3月为加快企业制度改革、改组，建立“产权明晰，权责明确，科学管理”的符合市场经济的新机制，增强企业活力，推动企业持续稳定发展，公司全资控股，并收购了无锡市远宇机床制造有限公司，占地66.3亩，厂房面积2.3万平方米，以机床制造，数控机床为主，全面提升了企业经济实力，增强企业核心竞争力和抗风险能力，拓展了发展空间， 为企业实现跨越性发展提供了良好的平台
